The weather is something very amazing but at the same time is a reason to be scare, Why I can be scare of the weather?  Because you don’t know when it can happen a Natural Disaster. Like in Guatemala in May, 28 of 2010 at, 6:45pm. 

 This tragic incident happen when... I was in Sporta doing jazz, then my mother come for me we go to Price mart to buy some food  for the dinner, the weather in that day was very ugly because it was raining, then when I finally come home we start eating, we eat pizza, it was delicious. During the dinner my little brother asks my mom why the floor was black?  My mother just answered I don’t know,  so  me and my family were like OOH :O  what is happening?  Why is raining black ?. So we call our dad to ask If he know. But he didn’t. So we go out to see. Guess what? It was raining black. We put the TV to see the news, we were seeing Noti7, in there they were mention that the Pacaya Volcano makes eruption, so it cause the ashes to fly around the city.
The Pacaya start making eruption, this start making little rocks of sand and ashes,  they were very small, this were like I was in another place because I have never see something like this. This causes that the hold city of Guatemala was empty of black sand. The volcano was ubicated in Palin, Palin is 35 kilometers far of the Guatemala City, I mean this was not so far.

When we know what was happening I call my best friend, Flor, when I call her she didn’t know what was happening so I say to her, to be careful because it was raining sand. So she goes to see, and she was very surprised, she can’t believe what was happening.

 When we were see Noti7 Then the president of the Guatemala City, Alvaro Colom, mentions to the city that this was a National Emergency. So he give orders to close all the schools of Guatemala, also the national airport, La Aurora, was close for a week. But there wasn’t only close the schools and the airport, they also close the street for the security of the conductors. In this disasters the people with less sources go to some public houses to stay calm, and safety

 Me and my family have a big problem because we have to travel during those days, we call the airport to see what was going on, they tell us that we have to wait until the volcano stop making eruption, for our good luck, the next morning they call us back, to tell us that we have to travel on June 4^th. When we finally know that our trip has not cancel, we were very happy, because we were very anxious to go to Disney

During the days of the eruption, the street were full of sand so me and my friends,  go to help others to clean their homes, So we stand cleaning until 5:00pm of that day, we were very tired, but that wasn’t all. The next day , the streets were equal, I mean the eruption continues and again we clean. The weather was with much air, and we don’t have that much things to do, so we go to my neighbors house to play UNO.

Finally that week pass quickly, so we can go to Miami, to our family vacations. We were very worried to the people of Guatemala, because it can happen again, and it can get worst. But I  know that after a hurricane comes a rainbow.

This experience show us that we don’t have the control of the weather, the only things that we can do, it is to pray for our own security.

This experience was so cool but at the same time it wasn’t because this causes many persons to be scare. Because imagine if this happen here in Guatemala what other things can happen.** EXTRA CREDITS***

Most of the time the first impressions are always the best…

 All my life I have been ask me if the first impressions matter, Do it really matter? The first impression matter in the day to day real life relationships that we all have. This is something very important because, you can tell many things just by you appearance, on how you express to others, and on how you dress, because people always tend to feel or act differently in different type of cloth. The truth is that most of the people when they first met someone will quickly look at your appearance. Whether consciously or unconsciously. Like it or not. People are making decisions about who you are in the first few seconds they meet you. I think that we all know the value of making a good first impression.

 I will talk you about the first impression with my neightbor that know she is one of my best friends. All start 7 years ago , I remember everything like it was yesterday, it was Sunday morning, me and my 3 brothers were playing  soccer on the garden. All the butterflies flying away, the birds singing and the blue sky. It was a perfect day to  play with water. My brother Alvaro and me see that some girls were walking around our house, so we think,  they are new neighbors in here, we should go and talk to them. We were very shy to make new friends in that time, so we start planning how to meet the new girls in a cool way. Then a big idea came to our mind. The plan was to kick the ball out, so when the girls see it, they will catch it and then we will go out to “get the ball”. So the plan start we get the ball out by kicking it, and the ball fall in one of the girls head. So the girls start crying, me and my brother were like, oops sorry, so finally the girl stop crying but guess what ?  this girls make us a joke.  When I first saw them, I look all the girls cloth , one girl was wearing  an  red Abercrombie pants with a blue  t-shit,  the other girl was wearing a pink skirt, with a white shirt, then the other girl was the most tall of them, she was wearing  a jeans and a sweater.

You know that when you are little  you get confident with other people quickly, so we start asking our names,  the one with the Abercrombie pants is call Mafer, the one with the skirt is call Mariandre and the tall girl is call Jimena. We start playing “tenta” this is a game that  you have to run  to catch others  and try to touch the others so they lose, but when they lose they have to stay like status if they move they instantly  have a GAME OVER, as you can imagine this game required a lot of energy. So we get very tired and they come to my home  to drink water and eat a little breakfast, in that time it was like five o’ clock and  we start asking us questions on my room, like  how many years you have? or on what school you are? The typical questions you ask when you meet someone. Also we take a lot of photos with my camera, We were very relax in my room, playing, talking and sleeping,  but unfortunately it was late they have to go their home, but a big idea come to mind. I go ask the parents of Mariandre if they can stay in my home because we want to make a sleep over, I tell Lorena, she is Mariandre’s mother. We want to know us better. Guess what? We got the permission, we were much exited of the idea. We didn’t sleep. The other they pass and it was the same we go out to play.

with the year our friendship has been growing a lot, now we are like  a family, we go to parties together, and also we go shopping, we have the confident to tell if that cloth is cool or not. We have the same likes on how we dress and in music, most of the time she came to my house the weekend to tell me how she is doing at school, and what about the boy she likes. Most of the time she came with my school friends to hang out. We now most of the thing of each others.

 I guess that the first impression really matter, this girls were very shy at the beginning but during this year they never shut up. I love this girls and a thanks god to give me this type of friends.

The moments may have ended but the memories last forever..

I just want to tell you how much you mean to me. I don’t know what would do without a great friend like you.You are the numbre one best buddy I have ever had. Without you my pathetic life would not be worth living.I would climb the highest mountain, swim the deepest sea, and walk across the hottest desert just to tell you how incredibly special your friendship is to me. The story beggins this way..

When I was little like 5 years, my mom send me by first time to school, she tell me that I was so excited about the idea of going to school. The first day I enter to school, my mother tell me that I have know Flor Castenanos, in that moment i thought, oh god she is my firs friend also  I knew  that we would always be friends. When I get home  I start talking to my mom about how was my first day of school. Then the years pass, So I was like in third grade, I start knowing Flor better, my first impression of her was that she was equal to the “little Lulu” ( the little lulu was a serie on TV). 

Why little Lulu?? Because she has a curly hair, she was white, and has a very small size and a tiny voice. Then in fifth grade, I   was dreaming that a want to be a professional dancer, so I talk to my mom that I want to dance jazz, and of course my mother go to the academy and in that instant to enroll me in the academy, that day my mother tell me that If I want to tell Flor to dance jazz with me. When I talk to Flor about that idea she immediately say yes. My mother talk to Angelica (Angelica, is Flor’s mother), so we both go to the same academy. In that   dance academy at the end of year we make a show, because of, we were very nervous. We practice the hold year just to dance two nights in the theater. That year pass very quickly, now was October, we are just waiting to the show, that would be  October, 13 and October 14 of  2006, in the night of  October 13, we get very nervous because was the first time in history that Flor and me dance in front of so many people. That night Flor evolved me in a big problem. The problem was that Flor lost her costume, we both were searching for the costume during the show so guess what ? We don’t dance in the choreography, that all the year we has been practice. At the end of the show our mothers ask us. Why we didn’t saw you dance? And we were like, pretending we don’t hear, until our moms catch us, so we decide to tell them our story. L.O.L 

Then in First course, my family want to travel to Orlando,Florida, to visit Disney, so my parents give the permission to invite a friend, so I decide to invite Flor, our families talk and they say yes. Flor and I were very excited to travel together, but then happen and unexpected situation was that the grandparent of flor was very sick, so Flor was not traveling with us.

I have known Flor since we were in kinder-Garden I think that she is a true friend... 

I like a lot of her, that she Accepts you as you are
,she believes in you, sometimes I feel very special  with her because she just call me to say “hello”. Also I admire her in some ways because she forgive anyone not no matter what you have done to her, she will always help you.

 Sometimes when I fail in something she is like my sister because she  encourages me to try again and again until I do it well, I guess this is my way of saying thanks
For catching me when I fall. she understand me very well because she have know me 12 years ago. Flor is a person that don’t talk of others, she always see the positive personality of the persons, she never judge someone. Her biggest value is that Flor Understand me, and when I am  scare of something she is always by my side.

I am very proud to have found a friendship so strong, as everyone knows there are always ups and downs. I am very impressed because all starts  being  two  completely strangers and finally we become best friends.

Sometimes, I wish...I could go back in time and meet my self as a kid :D

I remember my childhooh like it was yesterday. When I was little I remember that all my life was more simple, because I don’t have to worry about what other persons think about me. I always have the feeling that my world was the same as Peter Pan because I have the fear to grow up and stop dreaming. I think that I was living in Neverland that I just play, my world was perfect. I don’t feel that I  was growing, but  by the time, just when you realize that  your life is more big than Neverland, I open my eyes and see that my life was a gift that god have give me. those special moments of my childhood was just the beginning.

Sometimes me and my mom talk about my childhood and here comes some of those memories...It was the father’s day celebration so my family ( in that time was just, my mom, my dad my brother, and me). They Get me to the crawl contest that was part of the father’s day celebration ,but that day something happen, it was very funny, my grandmother was taking care of me, so she gave my a cookie but the competition start and guess what ? I was very relax eating the cookie that my grandmother give me, so I lose that crawl contest. (Big fail)

Also we were going to a trip to Xetulul and we stop in a gas station near my house. When we stop I was sleeping near the door of the car, so when my dad open that door in which I was, I fell to the floor. My parents get very crazy and they thought that I had broken a tooth, immediately the trip was cancel, my parents get me to the dentist to see what was happen to my tooth. Guess what? There was not broken tooth… ;)

 My mother also comment me my first day of school, she was very nervous because I am the first of my 3 brothers to enter kinder-Garden. When I was enter to the school, in the entrance were a lot of cows, because in the front of the school was a little farm but in the inside of the school were many kids, and swings. I was getting very nervous because I saw too much kids, but at the end of the day I have feel great. When I get home my mother ask me- nena what was the thing that you like the most of your new school?- And I replied- mmmm.. I like the cows J- then my mom start laugh at what I had said.

This makes me think that when you are a kid is when more awkward moments you can do.. but they are  the funniest part of the childhood. For example

When I was like 10 years, I remember that Hilary Duff was the best artist in the world, so I dress like her, and I do all the things that  she likes, I remember that I saw all the episodes of her serie     “ lizzie Mcguire” my favorite was when was her first day of school and she want to be a cheerleader, so she makes the auditions, but she dance like a goofy. I always talk to my parents about it, they tell me to shut up for one second, but I was so emotioned with that episode that I talk, and talk about it. I know that in that time I was so annoying. You know when you are kid you are just like a bird that never shut up.

Also when it was my brother’s birthday, we are going to make him a surprise, so my mom say to me,- we are going to make a surprise to your brother for his birthday so please don’t tell him.

But I don’t know what I was thinking that my mother just finish to tell me that and I run with my brother to tell him what my mother mention me.( Oops I guess I was a little  gossip). But, the main thing is that my mother catch me telling the surprise to my brother, so my mom get mad and of course was my fault. Then I feel guilty. Then it was time to cut the cake and sing, but my mother see me with a face that I will never forget. That was very awkward.

In conclusion most of the time we pretend that we know many things , that the childhood is over,  that we don’t have to dream anymore, You have to follow your dreams even do they are crazy, but it  is just the biginning of it, so keep dreaming.
